Lander Pet Connection
The Lander Pet Connectionhas beguna Spay/Neuter
Program to reduce the number of unwanted dogs and
cats who live short and painful lives due to
overpopulation. As a result of the generosity of local pet
lovers, the Pet Connection will be spaying or neutering
all pets it makes available for adoption. Currently, new
pet owners must agree to have their new pet spayed or
neutered at their own expense. The new program will
mean that surgery will be performed before pets are
adopted.

“This is a wonderful program,” says former Pet
Connection President Suellin Renninson. “Lander
residents who adopt our dogs and cats will be saving as
much as a hundred dollars and they will have healthy
and lovable additions to their families.”

The program will also pay up to one-third the cost of the
operation for other pet owners who are in need of
financial assistance, if funds are available.

Contributions are needed to keep the program going
and friends are asked to give generously to insure that it
can continue next year. “Every day, many more puppies
and kittens are born in our area than we’ll ever be able to
find homes for,” says Pet Connection founder Syd Miller.
“We find them starving, dumped into the trash, and
suffering from cold and neglect.”

Pet lovers are asked to send checks marked
“Spay/Neuter Program” to the Lander Pet Connection at
P. O. Box 854, Lander.
